Chess queen Kiran Manisha Mohanty today became the first Woman Grandmaster (WGM) of Orissa when she secured her third and final norm in the Parachute Advansed International Chess Tournament at Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh. She also emerged champion in the tournament by holding Russia’s Minina Veronika in the ninth and final round. Former Women`s National `B` champion Kiran finished with seven points, which included five wins and four draws.
